Basalt fiber Tape is produced with Basalt fiber. Advanced Basalt Fiber, produced from volcanic basalt rock it pursue a natural wide temperature application, effectively working as a flame retardant barrier and insulator.
One of the most traditional and well-known applications for basalt products is Thermal-insulation and fire-protection. The operating temperature of materials is -260°C up to +700°C with one-time permissible exposure of +1000°C. This allows to use basalt materials for thermal-insulation- of all kind of equipments in applications where customers need high-temperature insulation or fire-retardant barriers.
Materials made from Basalt fiber don’t burn at the high temperatures. During fire exposure, fibers remain undamaged and tied together. Material doesn’t loose its mechanical properties and creates protection against fire. Products keep their shape and properties. During fire exposure they don’t release any harmful or dangerous substances into atmosphere.
BF basalt insulation tapes of armored vehicles are made of the weaving continuous basalt fiber. It can be processed & surface treated when applied. Its outstanding electric insulation, high temperature resistance, chemical-corrosion resistance make it can be the best choice in the wire stripping parts of the electric apparatus and genetix, inner connecting wire and the insulation pipe of all the kinds of the thermo-junction parts and can be also used as the basic material of the marked pipe, brush tube, the base material of the high temperature resistance composite tube and replace carbon sleeves for medical industry like orthotics &prosthetics technology.
Rolled tapes is used as warm - insulation cover of pipelines in- and out-of-doors at an ambient temperature
